Cunningham Security Systems is an essential business during the COVID-19 outbreak.  We will continue to provide the same service to our customers, both monitoring of systems at the central station and physical service to systems that need repair.  We know that this is a difficult time for many people in our community and many people are at risk of health complications from the virus.  At Cunningham, we are taking every precaution that we can to make sure that we help stem the spread of the novel coronavirus.  Our technicians are following CDC guidelines and they are equipped with masks and gloves.  They are also regularly sanitizing their tools and work areas.

Our Monitoring Center

There will be no interruption in your monitoring services.  Our monitoring center has multiple back-up locations.  They are a designated FEMA shelter, and every employee has been deemed essential to go to work.  They have redundant phone service providers, industrial capacity generators, a back-up food supply, and can distribute calls to other locations if needed.  To learn more about our monitoring center’s technology and capability, you can view a more detailed description here.

Our Service

We will continue to provide physical service and maintenance to our customers including fire inspections.  As always, we are available 24/7 for emergency service.  We are also maintaining our normal business hours of 8-5 on weekdays.

Since we have been deemed to be an essential business by the State of Maine, we are here to continue the crucial services that we provide to our customers.  When applicable, a service technician can still come to your home or business and provide needed maintenance on your system.  If you require maintenence but would prefer not to interact with a technician we may be able to troubleshoot your system from the office.  You also do not need to be physically present if you do not wish to be, and our technicians will maintain a distance of at least 6 feet as recommended by social distancing guidelines.

Our technicians are all equipped with sanitizer, masks, and gloves and will be following all CDC recommended guidelines.  If you have any special requests, we are happy to accommodate these as much as possible.  Please let us know any requests when you schedule your service call if you can or prior to our technician arriving.  Technicians will also do their best to accommodate additional requests as needed.

Payments

We recognize that many people in our community are struggling financially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  If you need help working out a payment plan, or need a delay in the payment due date because you have been directly impacted by COVID-19, please contact our office and we will do our best to work with you.  We can not promise to extend payment terms in all cases but we can help in many cases.

New Installations

While we are all impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, homes and businesses still need security protection.  If you need a new installation we can still perform this work!  Our supply chain has not experienced any significant disruptions, and we can still install fire, camera, and access control systems.  Please contact our office if we can help you with an installation.
